South Carolina Residents Will Have To Settle For Bumper StickersToday A federal judge has ruled that South Carolina may not issue Christian license plates featuring a cross, the words “I Believe”, and Jesus smiting all gays, everywhere. So you would think if they are going to offer Christian license plates they would be open to offering plates that represent other faiths, right? Nope! Even legislators in favor of the Christian plates said they absolutely would not be in favor for plates representing other religions:
Way to be bigoted dicks you guys. I don’t think the 10 Muslims in South Carolina even want those Islamic license plates, because they enjoy their car windows whole and intact, I am sure. Rest easy; the battle is over now and all the people of South Carolina will simply have to reconcile with that whole separation of Church and State thing. Hey, there are still bumper stickers and dashboard trinkets if they want to pimp their ride for Jesus. |

If they want to borrow a bumper sticker I have an extra “who would jesus bomb?” It’s still got some jesus on it…

Freedom of religion! …as long as it’s ours.

Don’t forget the Chuck Norris doctrine; freedom of religion means religions get to be free from government telling them not to fuck up our society.
