The Daily Profaner: Putting Snark First, Myths Last!

Being a bigot is hard when you live in California; all those uppity, liberal-minded, civil-rights-loving hippies just love to heckle you to death over your hate-beliefs. Worse yet, if you donate money to a political cause, they have this Marxist transparency thing where your donation is a matter of public record. The libtards say it is about protecting us from pay to play politics, but good Christians know it’s all about OPPRESSING CHRISTIANS!

That’s why a pair of groups that supported California’s Proposition 8 (in case you’d forgotten, that’s the one that stripped LGBTQ Californians of their marriage rights) are suing in order to have all yes on 8 campaign finance records removed from public view. That way we can keep our society’s bigotry out of sight, were it belongs, so it can be the unchallenged disease that eats away at our society - sort of like prostate cancer!

The groups’ lawyer, James Bopp jr., says that the suit is about preventing harassment, but the real bottom line is money:

“Several donors have indicated that they will not contribute to committee plaintiffs or similar organizations in the future because of the threats and harassment directed at them as a result of their contributions … and the public disclosure of that fact,”

Some folks have been harassed, (and it’s wrong) so if you’re out there stuffing envelopes with baking soda and putting yes on 8 donors names on them, stop. You’re just feeding into their creepy persecution concept by making them think they might become anthrax-martyrs at the hands of the sodomite beast.

While we shouldn’t throw bricks at them, we damn well should go after their money. They may tell cute stories about getting bricks thrown in their windows, or having their neighbors hand out fliers outing them as bigots, but what these people really love is money. You can start by checking out the Anti Gay Blacklist; they already have put together a fun list of major Prop 8 supporters you don’t want to give your money to.

Don’t forget that, like cockroaches, these people hate the light, so out bigots whenever possible. If you know a bigot - someone who votes anti-gay and against civil rights - don’t let them pretend, out them. We should have a society where being an out bigot is harder than being an out atheist or an out queer. It can be our new Out Campaign - Bigots: get them out and keep them out…of government.
